Francisco Sassetti was born in Lisbon, lived in Luxembourg, studied in London and Geneva, and presently lives and works in Vienna. He was music programmer at CCB in Lisbon (classical music and jazz), has collaborated with various newspapers and magazines, worked for a national radio station, and presently works for the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester in Vienna. Additionally, he writes programme notes for the Gulbenkian Foundation, CCB, Casa da Música, and the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra.
